Attorney at Law

Jennifer focuses her practice on special needs trusts, governmental benefits and disability planning. Prior to joining MGD, Jennifer worked for twelve years as Claims Counsel for Wright Risk Management, a third party administrator for various insurance carriers. In this role, she managed the defense of professional liability claims against school districts and municipalities as well as private entities. A large part of her responsibilities included managing the defense of discrimination claims and negotiating the resolution of these claims at court ordered mediations and settlement conferences nationwide. Upon leaving Wright, she founded a special education advocacy business to assist parents in advocating well for their children with respect to special education and early intervention decisions.

Earlier in her career, Jennifer served as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of Rhode Island and as an associate for a labor and employment defense firm in Providence, Rhode Island. She is also a former New York City teaching fellow who briefly left the practice of law to teach special education to disadvantaged children in a hard to staff school in East New York, Brooklyn.
